This is even better than you all know. In the not too distant past a former employer of mine did the same type of thing, loaned/rented temporary hardware while the ordered stuff was being built/delivered. What they found was that by the time the ordered hardware arrived and was put into commission the customer wanted to keep the borrowed hardware a very high percentage of the time.
