Company news: METROMEDIA INTL GROUP INC said that its wholly owned subsidiary, Metromedia International Telecommunications Inc. had sold its interest in Protocall Ventures Ltd. to Dolphin Telecom PLC, a subsidiary of Telesystem International Wireless Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Protocall is engaged in the specialized mobile radio business, the global communications and media company said in a statement. With the deal closing between Metromedia and Dolphin Telecom, Protocall has transferred its specialized mobile radio operations in Romania and Kazakhstan to a separate Metromedia subsidiary.
