You are right about the danger of taking these kinds of discussions further in a public forum. That's why Christians are warned about reading this stuff on their own and doing their own thinking. That's also why I want people to read their Bibles on their own, which most people haven't. Without somebody redirecting your thoughts when you come to these passages, and looking at it objectively instead, you might just conclude it is mythological hogwash.
