Hi again Trey,
I have long given up on the hope that the street sees reality.
Whose reality? I think what you mean here is an "agreement in perception". For me the word "reality" can be much too subjective.
doesnt matter how inefficient since ALA is deploying units? are you kidding? i would love to see the profit margins on the modems and the chips. i can almost guarentee you they are negative #s.
No, I'm not kidding.
In business school, in route to getting your MBA, this technique is taught and called seeding the market. Now I don't want to give you the impression that I have been to business school, but I have learned a lot from the games these schools have put my friends through. Believe it when I say that the loss does not matter. Your gains are realized in other areas. This thread tends to focus on modem deployments and AL is focusing on something of a much grander scale.
t suprises me is that ALA is already in production, but there arent a HUGE # of their units being deployed. i see this as the market waiting for better solutions.
This thread has direct verification of AL's modems being deployed in Singapore. If we did not have this direct verification, I myself and others here would be singing the "still has been deployed anywhere" song. So, now my point is, where else are their units being deployed that we just cant verify yet? And, just to be fair, what kind of Westell, or Orckit, or Netspeed, etc deployments can we verify at the same time? -Eric |
