No, not necessarily. I can be respectful of something without believing in it fully. Respect and belief are seperate entities. If you couldnt then it would follow logically that no religion can respect another. that is a philosophy that leads to isolation, distrust, and even War. It is that lack of percieved respect that causes the Middle East to be an inferno, and to some extent to cause different Christian sects to kill each other(not to mention different sects of many other religions killing each other).
