But don't you see, if everyone believed the truth, in God and his word, we would live in peace.
Yes, people have subtle differences in their Christian beliefs, as we see some on this thread, but we would all know our God, and war would come to a virtual stop. Yes, with Satan lose, we would sin and probably have disagreements as we do, but Holy Wars would end. Nobody would have to fight for religious reasons, because God's religion, does not call for war. It calls for peace and love. And many of the wars being fought are for religious reasons.
And you will say there have been wars, Christian against Christian! But many times, those wars, one side was truly not Christian. They might use the tag, or be tagged with being Christian, but their not!
And as far as being respectful of others and their religions, I am! I do not say their religions are right, but I try to respect their beliefs and rituals, as long as they do not conflict with what God really wants and what is true!
But these differences you want us to live with and respect, are the cause for a lot of this worlds strife. And until everyone knows the truth about God, and believes in him, you will continue with the warfare. God wants everyone to know the truth. All he asks is you ask with an open mind and heart. And he will tell you the truth! But people take it into their own hands to determine the truth. They figure out whats wrong and what's right by their own rules, not by Gods. And hence, this is why we have all the trouble.
An about isolation, no one says Christianity breeds isolationism. In fact, Christians belong to many different religions and cultures that celebrate differently and live their lives differently, and in different parts of the world. And they co-exist in peace, most of the time. It's our sin that causes the problem. Our invention of religions, that are not of God. This is the problem. God intended everything to be perfect in this world, and we blew it. But calling Christianity isolationist is far from the truth! Christianity only asks that you believe in God, and his word, the bible, and try to follow his commands to the best of your ability. But ultimately, you are only saved by the grace of God!
If you call someone a liar, and you do call Jesus a liar if you deny what he said, and that is that he is God, you are being disrespectful to God. If you want to say you don't know his claims, and you honestly don't, and you want to reserve judgement until you do know his claims, that's fine. But investigate his claims. He wants you to. Read the bible, old and new testaments. And then make your decision. But don't dismiss his claims, when you know them, and just do not care not to believe them! Because at that point, you are calling him a liar, and disrespecting him. And thats what all non-believing Jews do, either they have not read the scriptures to find the truth, and just believe what there ancestors told them. Or they read them, and for prideful or any other reasons, deny the truth of God. That's a problem! And specifically with Jews, I am not even saying they need to read the New Testament. They will come to faith in Christ strictly with the Old Testament! I did!
