Phil, I agree and then some. Whatever stocks you have, if they have an SI thread, you can watch them and know well ahead of John Q. Public any news about them from any source. In many ways SI is much better than any subscription market letter, because you have access to all the viewpoints and data available.

However, bear in mind that an instrument such as SI does not obviate the necessity for due diligence. Every individual must decide for himself what is wheat and what is chaff; what is useful and what is not; what is straight and what is slanted (and how).

Just as in the real world, there are many posters on SI whose intentions are neither good, nor in your interests. So always be careful. Before you invest in any stock, it is a good idea to read the particular threads to get an idea of which posters are substantial, honest, and accurate. THAT is worth many times the price of admission.
