Sam,

This is definitely true about Southwest. Another thing that I have
started to notice about the other Airlines is that all of a sudden they
are making some money and what do they do with it??? They go and get
themselves involved in long-term deals to buy more airplanes from
the manufacturers. I have not noticed Southwest doing this at all. From
what I understand, this is what got them in trouble during the late
80's and early 90's. They went out and spent a large some of money
on planes and then had to unload them when times turned bad.

That is the one thing that I like about Southwest. They don't go and
do crazy things that are not going to work or that have not worked
in the past. They do crazy things that have reason behind them.
