James, Long term investor? Do you really think there is one here? I think that as long as the Motley Fool keeps AMZN in its portfolio (for any reason), and analysts like Benjamin at BARS maintain a BUY rating even though the stock is trading at 2.5 times their aggressive upside target, and there is positive press on Bezos (the CEO, not the company's results - note), then some investors will buy AMZN with a longer term outlook that they're riding the internet wave.
