A quick point of clarification, Mark.

As a "jury member," I would like to see how much you can rebut your anti-Valence arguments head-on, and how much you would feel it better to divert attention away from them in making your pro-Valence case. It seems to me explicit distinction along these lines would help get to the heart of the debate between you and the others -- and would be of great value to the rest of us "jurors."

Thanks again for any effort you should make along these lines.
