Thanks for the reply Christine,

Interesting to hear about childhood memories of your grandmother and her garden. I have similar memories of my grandmother's kitchen and my grandfather's greenhouse. My grandfather had a little lean-to type of greenhouse attached to his house where he started African Violets, Irises, and just about anything else you could imagine. It was just out the door from my grandmother's kitchen. You had to step over Elmer, the beagle, to get from the kitchen to the greenhouse. Over the years, there were 13 Elmers. I inherited an incontinent #13 when my grandparents passed away.

Talking about incense reminds me of my teenage years in the seventies. The seventies were a strange time. I remember watching soldiers in Vietnam when I was 10 years old thinking that it was inevitable that I would go someday. And then the war was suddenly over. I remember seeing hippies on tv and the adults around me mocking their hair and clothes. By the time I was 18 in 1978, there were these strange parties with incense in the air, Pong on t.v., and Steely Dan on the stereo. Looking back, it was a confused time, no longer the 60's and not quite the 80's.

I bought some CAWS recently, and now I wonder why I bought the darn thing. A lot of people have gotten burned by CAWS.

Interesting to read the comments about Briana, Idaho, and San Francisco. When I was Briana's age, I was in love with the idea of freedom.

I've got to go, I am starting to nod off at the keyboard.

Larry
