You're right that its different. For one thing, tell me if I'm wrong, but CPQ is vastly undervalued compared to DELL in terms of P/E. So that would mean that an earnings surprise with the recent increase in confidence about Compaq's strategy could contribute to some nice increases in the stock's price.

I think and earnings surprise, if its positive, could send the price into above 38 range in a few days. With the large volume today and the rise in price no doubt institutions have been moving around some of their assets. To me the increase in price suggests that they're buying just under 34.
