The Dow was less than 6000, with analysts looking for a pull-back to 5500 Msft was $32/sh. So we were all dead-wrong, but if we look only at one company at a time without comparison to other stocks or fields,those two were doing great. It woke me up when Dell cut their prices in OCT 1996 by up to 42%, then declared a 2/1 split in Dec ((9th, I believe) on the same day that Msft split.
