This is a very good analysis of the situation but the main question is who will survive when the dust clears . I would bet on a company that is not just dependent on the Year 2000 problem but has a diverse product line .

Two companies in this area are KEA,CHRZ both have good earnings and in the case of CHRZ have a diverse product line . Additionally they have international exposure that being of Europe .

On the other hand the pure play Year 2000 companies are not doing so well . For example, Zitl was at one point $72 a share and can now be bought at a bargin price of $6.00 a share .

So buyer beware when it comes to this area .
