Undoubtedly, an seg bull was quoted as saying 100% sequential growth. Management stated that growth in current qtr vs last was high double digit range but less than 100% and future growth will be significant but not at the same rate as last qtr due to the increasing size of the business. Obviously, this is significant and does not need to be exaggerated.

Regarding Symbios, if you go back to a Lehman report dated 6/16/97, you will see that Gumport did a full blown strategic review with Moshe Gavrielov. In that report Gumport states..."LSI notes that it considered but rejected a move into SCSI because 1) the competition was well entrenched and 2) LSI sees a much less dynamic SCSI market in upcoming years as Gigablaze/Fibre Channel become accepted".

Can you say CANNIBALIZATION, I know you can! You may draw your own conclusions, I've drawn mine. However, reality doesn't matter to me right now, I just want LSI to tell a good story on the 23rd so the price will go up and I can get out.
