ESS isn't saying how many chips they ship these days. C-Cube should announce around $32M worth of VCD chips shipped this Q. ASPs should be just below $10 each. That would mean C-Cube shipped 3.3M units. The best est. I have says that C-Cube has +/- 60% market share. Ess has +/- 30% and the combined sales of Oak, Winbond, and UMC are about 5%. This doesn't add up to 100% because of the +/- 5% that is moving all the time. That would mean Ess sold 1.7M units. Last year, in Q2, they sold 1.8M units, and C-Cube sold 2.3M units.
