You probably will not find this at Gateway, Micron or DELL. They offer custom systems with a narrow range of options. DELL has multimonitor systems but they use the Appian dual monitor card. You will pay a lot at DELL for such a system.

You might want to try KC Computers. 192.41.20.224 . He has a good reputation with many of his customers. I have no personal experience. Email is his preferred method of communication. If you need a lot of phone support KC Computers is probably not for you.

He will build just about anything. He has a long list of available components but will acquire and assemble just about anything you want. Email a proposed system and he will give you a quote. He has the prices on his site also.

1600 X 1200 is a bit high for 17 in monitors. I doubt you will use anything higher than 1024 X 768 on a 17 in monitor.

Why do you want a SCSI harddrive? The performance of IDE harddrives is on a par with SCSI. SCSI is a good option if you need a lot of devices such as more than two harddrives, CDR's, scanners, ZIP etc.

IBM and Maxtor make good IDE drives. IBM has built a reputation overtime for quality harddrives. Maxtor has the best bang for the buck now and I have not heard any negative comments.

July 26 is the next Intel CPU price adjustment.
