the pilot plant equipment was ordered for use with the j/l technology. When the company learned that the j/l technology was inconsistant, they didn't see the need to go ahead with the pilot plant. Some of the pilot plant equipment could be used if and when the company decides to start production based on conventional methods. Of course, if they do decide to go into production with j/l at some point that equipment can be used.
