i was wandering around the www (worldwidewait) and the flame thread caught my eye. all though it didn't contain what i had envisioned, i was far from disappointed. while reading some of the most interesting and informative posts on the web i ran accross yours. i thought i might be so bold as to give you the real meaning behind the graybar hotel.

Graybar Hotel
The place you go while you're staring at a computer that's
processing something very slowly (while you watch the gray
bar creep across the screen). "I was in the graybar hotel for
what seemed like hours, thanks to that CAD rendering."

of course i'm far too lazy to go back and try to follow the thread, so the meaning might very well have been posted. my excuse is i'm 404, URL Not Found. it covers alot. but the definition explains why the mind might wander a tad while at the graybar. i know, i've been there.
