--GUMBY RESOURCES: DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES?
Gumby Resources (OTC:GUM) again began a meteoric rise on JUNE 27th on the anticipation of their drill campaign and a few very powerful and unexpected "X" factors. It is not unamazing that GUM is not a Howe Street promotion, marked by the absence of the familiar names who rule that city's brokerage community and stock exchange. They have been shut out of this play. They won't be allowed near it. Gumby doesn't even trade on the Vancouver exchange. Thus sprung the ugly rumors about grab samples being poor, etc. from the hired-gun mouthpieces, who are being played by the shorts. They knew full well those grab samples were far too weathered to accurately indicate what was below ground. The pro's also know GUM has something MAJOR there, otherwise why have they been phoning GUM trying to "get a meeting" with Bill Casel. He just doesn't need them or their baggage.
That is because GUM is predominantly a US promotion, whereas the tables have been turned on the Canadians. Just as the Canucks jumped out of GUM, in the C$0.01 to C$0.02 level, cashing in their few dimes of profit, a huge wave of US buying raced into GUM. The Canadians, upon noticing that the momentum was not even close to petering out, raced back into GUM, sending it higher on Friday. As I have continued to claim: THIS TSUNAMI WAVE OF BUYING HAS ONLY BEGUN. By next Friday, just as GUM commences its drill campaign, the stock should be racing to or past C$0.30/share. Heed these words very carefully: THE INSIDERS ARE NO LONGER SELLING THEIR SHARES! There is a LOT more US buying coming into GUM. The riff-raff have been cleared out and can now pay more for their ring- side seats. Oh, and they will, believe me, they will...
There are a few promotional developments which should create an even larger wave of buying and may take GUM to the C$1/share level. For starters, it appears GUM has the Kid and the INSIDER Stock Forum on its side. But, that's only the tip of the iceberg -- there's more to come. This play is being marketed in such a way that would bring envy to the Murray Pezim we once knew or even to the Robert Friedland of this past March and April. Like Hemlo and DFR, it has substance behind it.
There is more to GUM than meets the eye. Ignore the possibility, if not likelihood, that a major mining company, such as RTZ, Inco and/or Falconbridge, has been quietly accumulating GUM shares and may make a "pre-emptive strike" on the company BEFORE it starts drilling , sending the stock to C$5, $6 or$7. That is tawdry speculation, such as the item I read in another's newsletter about members of the Peavil family owning GUM shares. Many major mining companies are waiting in line to get a look at the core to be pulled from the property. For there is a new structure there, and one which has rapidly been creating its own area play.
