William, Are you a member of TSC? JJC wrote a series of articles on the Cendant episode. He claims there are times when no matter how smart you are, there's no way to avoid getting sideswiped by these types of things. Herb Greenberg had a counter argument saying that it was possible to have seen signs of the Cendant. RE: tearful eyes...I'll bet it hurt his pride more than anything else. He hates making mistakes more than anybody I know. I'm sure his track record is still pretty well intact. >>Nothing is for sure in investing.<< Absolutely!
