To all: I have made a slight correction to CD's ending paragraph for its news releases:

Cendant CD was the world's premier provider of consumer and business services. Cendant operates in three principal segments: Alliance Marketing, Travel and Real Estate Services. Headquartered in Stamford, CT and Parsippany, NJ, the company has more than 40,000 employees, operates in over 100 countries and makes approximately 100 million customer contacts annually.

P.S. Who do you think is buying those 20 mil shares? Speculators or long term value players? I personally think that CD won't come back for a year or so. Historically, from some studies I have read in the past, companies that face financial scandals (adm , for example) require 6 to 18 months to set their house in order. In a fortunate way, many of CD's products are not marketed with the CD name , but rather under the product itself such as Century 21 and the hotel chains. This may prevent customers from avoiding CDs products. Lastly, has anyone sat down and analyzed the impact on the AIG purchase? CD may not be able to complete it because it may not now have the cash to make up for any difference in the share price if that is an option and may be sued in the process.
