Mike, I agree with your point that Amazon did blaze the trail
on internet retail/marketing, but disagree with:

They have been remarkably productive, have proven that an internet
book dealer can be profitable ...


One of the problems with AMZN is it just keeps burning more money,
and is increasingly unprofitable (EPS) per Zacks:

-0.06 -0.14 -0.18 -0.19 -0.20 -0.38

an observation: a weird thing happens with negative earnings
when shares are diluted: the EPS numbers get better (closer
to zero) ... doesn't really apply to AMZN, something to keep in
mind.
