I have done that for as long as I can remember. It got me into big trouble in the third grade for asking questions of the priest who would visit our room weekly. One was "would I still be committing a mortal sin if I missed holy mass when a day was skipped because I had just crossed the International date line just as it was turning Sunday?" I was scolded by the nun in front of the class for embarrassing the priest.
