I am a Jackson Hewitt franchise owner and a number of other business partners called me last night knowing that I was a member of SI and wanted my opinion about the events. They were confused and concerned about where all this would take us. Also CD has reported that non-core businesses were for sale and we at Jackson Hewitt don't think we're core. On the other hand, CD has not made any contribution to our operation yet so I think we don't feel too threatened. Lots of smoke and promises at the recent convention, but all that is yet to be seen (as we only have revenue Jan-Apr). Of course many of us have stock in CD and all seem to be holding. I didn't hear from anyone that sold. Others will buy more to lower their total costs. We have a meeting in New Orleans tomorrow and I'm sure some information will be presented. If so I'll post on that. Hope this gives some input FWIW. Gale
