Optimal Robotics Corp. Announces Partnership With IBM Business Wire - July 15, 1998 10:02 MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 15, 1998--Optimal Robotics Corp. (NASDAQ:OPMRF) today announced that it has signed a Cooperative Marketing Agreement with IBM Corporation which enables IBM to jointly market and sell U-Scan(R) Express, Optimal's automated self-service retail checkout system, in the U.S.
Under the agreement, Optimal will join the IBM Solution Developer Program's Software Vendor Marketing Partnership. IBM will jointly market and sell U-Scan(R) Express to its retail point-of-sale (POS) customers in the U.S. The IBM POS platform is the most widely used POS platform for retailers in North America. U-Scan(R) Express integrates seamlessly with IBM POS terminals.
Commenting on the agreement, Henry M.
