I also posted this message on the dormant ISSI thread, this thread being slightly less dormant, which is all understandable and in keeping with the third anniversary celebration of the DRAM/SRAM top.

"Let's see, it's been about three months since Scope's "Oh Boy!!!!!!!!"
ending to the last flurry of interest (hope?) on the fortunes of ISSI.
It's that time again, but no reason to hope for any earnings surprise since they've already been preannounced
and are suitably distressing.
The partial sale of the Taiwan subsidiary has been nicely offset with another big writedown in inventory. ISSI
remains a wonderful company with excellent products but the combination of the memory price meltdown and
the Asian crisis just won't go away. These are the worst of times for the stockholders but
please no whining from bargain hunters who bought somewhere under 10 or who think analyst Black knows
anything about the company except the price and the lines on a chart. If misery loves company look at one time
prime competitors, ALSC, IDTI, CY, and PRDM. Anyways, the official quarterly earnings will be released
after the market closes on July 20 with a conference call to follow. We can at least hear Jimmy Lee's
comments on the partial sale of the Taiwan subsidiary and look for something hopeful to latch onto. This also is
about
the third anniversary of the top in the memory stock group."
