Larry: I did not say they weren't starting up on Sep. 23. I merely pointed out that an eight day beta test might not be a prudent move. The other milestones they have achieved are impressive, but they should not push an untested system on new users. It would not be a "crushing blow" to delay rollout to work out the kinks. They are still first to market. The claim they made that they will provide the only global service on September 23 is obviously not true. I just wanted to point out that Iridium too has its share of delays, including handset, gateway, and software delays, just as G* is having.
