There are indeed several companies that provide products and services that seems to offer the same kind of functionality as Alya's p&s.
You can find out more by reading all the case studies and list of partners and Longworks'members on the Echelon site. There are a few cases in the building security market.

The problem, as TLWatson says, is to clearly established that Alya's has the lead. I have not been able to established that yet. It is true that WIN NT is now the defacto standard and that the fact that OpenCortex and therefore OpenCentrix have been developed to support that platform is a major plus. But again is that enough. In the case studies mentioned above, there is at least one case of an integrater doing work on Win NT. IMHO, it is extremely difficult to position properly Alya's products in this market, unless you really do a full evaluation of their products and those of the competitions..

OTOH, the facility and success Alya has in recruting strong distributors worldwide speak for themself. These distributors are not entering agreements like that to distribute Alya's products, if the same products are not at the forefront of this market sector. So, I have to disagree with TLWatson on this, Alya's products and services have to be more than a cheap solution.

Still the stock is down 50% from the prices a couple of months ago. So there is a reason for this. And it is not only because of the market makers.

I am holding long for the moment even if I have a 30% loss on this investment.
