>>"Earnings is good but Kurlak is going to drive this down to or below $75 by Friday."<< Maxwell, thanks for this tip. Do you know Kurlak personally, or his cronies? Intel has finally fought back against Kurlak and his vile gang, and I applaud to this type of actions. We will see if this Kurlak turkey has anything up his sleeve to disappoint me again. From my own crystal ball, the momentum is just too strong for him to jeopardize his welfare-like career in order to buck the trend. You know that anyone can replace that senile dice-thrower and do very well at Merrill Lynch, including you and me, right?
>>"Did you hear that Intel is losing market share?"<<
With AMD built and shipped 2.65M in Q2/98, up from 1.55M in Q1/98, Intel, of course, has lost some market share. CFO of Intel said Cerleron is ramping up very nicely. P5 business is way down; P6 business is doing very well. Celeron is P6 (P-II). The migration from Socket-7 to Slot-1 is executed according to plan. Very soon, the socket-7 business would dry up to a trickle.
As I said in my earlier post, $0.66 EPS has a one-time charge. The gross margin is actually better than 49%, 51% in fact. This also enables a higher gross margin for the upcoming few quarters. Barrett thus is right 3 out of 3 so far.
Anyway, I got your shares this morning. Thanks, again.
