Has anyone looked at gst's subsidiary gst global? It trades on Vancouver - where gstx also started out - and is run by gstx's founder
gordon blankstein. They have some great assets: 1) 49% of bestel,
mexico's version of Qwest, which just raised 100mm high yield via Painewebber 2) Majority ownership of highpoint comm. an alberta listed
international reseller which should do at least 170mm us in rev next year3) 45% of a joint venture with Finland Telecom to do switch and/or facilities based long distance in Europe and 4) majority ownership of Netrue, an IP company. The stock should be listed on the Toronto and American exchanges sometime next month. It looks like the value of bestel alone could account for the current stockprice - Painwebber has
a good report on Bestel.
