I read through the above but was unable to ascertain any specifics pertaining to many of the companies. A number didn't have websites, and I haven't had time to contact them via the telephone. (Do you have the specific links?).

I reviewed several that referred to building automation and energy management, but those that I reviewed primarily had mechanical units or other devices that were capable of being "plugged" into a LON network and could actually utilize Alya's software.

The one website I read that had security devices, had devices that could be used with the Open Cortex platform. So I did really perceive it as a competitor since it was just the alarms and alerts at the end of the system. So....

In your own investigation have you determined which specifics companies have similar platforms to the Open Cortex?

Have you been able to contact these companies?

I also noted on the Echelon site, that Alya's was recognized this spring for its products amongst LON members. This was noted before on this thread. Isn't this significant?
