Many thanks to Ibexx and other thread members for the insightful posts re SAP. I'm late to the SAPHY party as of a few months ago, but glad I came!
Have confirmed that MSFT and SAPHY are thriving in my zoo and are true "Gorillas", since, among other characteristics: (1) they dominate their growing industries, (2) they have strong & reliable sales & earnings growth, (3) their customers have a high cost of switching to other suppliers.
Also have other primates - DELL, CSCO, INTC, GAC, ATY.T. Am not sure about the switching costs on these so they may not be true "gorillas", but on average very worthwhile specimens.
What other Gorilla-class stocks are out there?
Regarding the August 3 SAPHY listing on NYSE, I noticed a few years ago that some Canadian listed tech stocks (Corel, Newbridge, Softkey - now The Learning Co.) that added a U.S. listing eventually got a large stock price increase due to higher P/E's being more acceptable in the U.S. than in Canada. Maybe a similar situation exists with SAPHY.
