Steve, the comparison between MRVC and Intel is a bad one. Intel has a wide institutional shareholder base. It will never go down that far because there are too many portfolio managers who's performance rest on companies like Intel. MRV on the other hand has no real sponsorship. No real Institutional client base. Yes there are institutions that own MRV but it hasn't grown significantly in the past few quarters. Those of you who have read my posts since the secondary know that Bear's inability to add to the Institutional holders is my biggest beef with them. A strong buy recommendation means nothing if you can't get your clients to buy the stock. I could put a strong buy on this company tomorrow but what would it mean. Intel was never rated a sell. It may have been a "market perform" or a "hold" but it was never a sell. That's why it is supported. MRV has never been a sell either. But it doesn't have a gazillion shares held by the world's leading financial institutions either. Intel has both.
