surprise me at all.
Many times when one hears the word of God, and it does not conform to their idea of God,or their underrtanding of scripture, the old and much over used, phrase, "I don't believe in a literal interpretation" always manages to rear it's ugly head. As well as do the following phrases..."That is a misinterpretation, or you are taking it out of context. As a long time servant of God, and a diligent student of His word, I am fearfully careful of what His word is intended to impart.
I would like to understand your response better before I answer it further.

Sorry but again Mark, what is it that you are happy about? What is it that you believe gives me comfort? And what is it that you think you need more of?
