I repeat here some questions posted on the <$5 board:

I've read most of the posts here and a good deal of the literature. A few questions to
the people who have been at the demonstrations:
It seems that you need to be in the line of sight and interupt the beams to hear the
sound. This does not appear to be a broadcast system that can be bounced against a
ceiling for everyone to hear. If that is correct, then a) you would need a separate
"speaker" for everyone in a room or theater; b) it would be fine for an individual
computer user (particularly if your neighbors couldn't hear the sound from your pc) but
not so good for other uses. There is clearly a market for people listening to hi-fi sitting
in the same chair every day, but most of us want to be in the dining room with the
music on in the living room, to get up to go to another chair in the living room, to go to
the bathroom, etc; c) in order for the sound to be heard properly, it means that the
"speaker" must have moving components to be positioned correctly or must be
positioned manually. Again, with the exception of sitting in front of the pc, moving the
"speaker" or having a cam device which moves the "speaker" isn't appealing; d) given
the scare that the cellular telephone business went through re potential brain cancer
from radiation from the telephone, how many of us want to sit for hours at a time being
bombarded by 200,000 hertz waves? If the technology is similar to ultrasonic devices
used in utero, would government approval re the health risk be necessary?
