I have had the same problems with my trades through E*Trade. I believe whoever they route option orders through is making a killing screwing over people on option trades. If you complain, they will correct it, but if you don't they just pocket the money.

File a formal complaint and ask for an investigation of the trade. Request a report of what they find, don't let them just fix the trade. We need to get to the bottom of what is going on.
