You're right in saying that nothing in the article alludes to Pixar selling its services out, but I think if you read between the lines in the following quote you'll see something:

I think that Jobs is implying that Pixar has the creative capabilities which other high-tech firms lack. I don't think its too much of a leap to think that Pixar will sell its creative services, although this isn't explicitly stated. Maybe its just wishful thinking on my part, but I want to see Pixar become more than just a feature fillm animator.

I'm long on the stock myself. I bought at 22 and saw it drop ever since.
