Hi James! Let me just hobble over to my rocker there in the corner--(here dearie, take my walker, that's a good boy!) Ahh-now a cup of tea and I'll tell you about the 60's....those were the good ol' days.... (hey, CGB, Freddy, Maurice--feeling like elder statesmen/women?) Funny you should bring up this subject. JFred and I have been reminiscing lately about the halcyon days of Summer 69 and the magic surrounding them. I've never heard of Victoria Williams-(is everyone named Williams this week?) but her lyrics are definitely a leetle less subtle than say-Judy Collins singing Sunny Goodge Street or Suzanne. But you know, I also remember it as a very scary, confusing time-at least to be female-trying to reconcile my mother's expectations that I would be a music teacher and the urge to burn my bra. I think many women my age have never quite figured out who they really are as opposed to who they thought they ought to be. Maybe every generation has to be lost for a while in order to find itself.
