Here's a little help for anyone interested in T/A.....Accumulation-disribution analyzes the relationship of closes and opens, building on the concept that this relationship reveals a good deal about market sentiment. To measure the sentiment of the professionals, you need to compare today's close with today's open to tabulate buying power. If today is an up day(today's close is higher than yesterday's close), then take today's close minus today's true low. That represents buying accumulated by the professionals. If today is a down day(today's close is lower than yesterday's close), then take today's true high minus today's low. Again, that represents long positions accumulated by professionals. The important thing is the direction of this indicator. It nosedived today. Professionals sold off while the public bought. No hype, no rah-rah, just fact.
