No, Emile, what I was saying is that Christianity as you preach it (by Biblical direction) is the only way to God, which equates with true joy. You are insulting, arrogant and presumptuous in stating that I am confusing happiness with sin, as if any but those who are your clones in faith could possibly know TRUTH (but because I'm such a nice person, I forgive you). I do not confuse real happiness with ice cream, sex, or my new car, nor do I believe that the indulgence of earthly desires brings lasting joy. It is this arrogance on your part which turns me away from your kind of "Christianity", whether I agree in principle or not. My life has led me to a different understanding. I'm not threatened by you, but neither will I tolerate your denigrating me and my beliefs, which remain mine alone and are not yours to judge.
There are far, far too many examples of the horrors done to others in a perversion of the name of Christ for me to accept your or any man's declaration of TRUTH. It is for each of us to find his own path.
It would be so much more helpful (so much more Christian!), for you to plant the Word with loving action and then let it work its magic. Instead, your venom poisons what you send out, clouds the truth and turns souls away. You are confusing taking a stand for Jesus with something very egocentric, rather than Christ-centered.
