Daniel: Seriously now, have you considered investing in companies with real earnings, in strong uptrends? I know you seem drawn to the microcaps, which seem to present opportunities for quick percentage gains, but have you also looked at some of the high-flying NASDAQ stocks such as DELL or MSFT?

If small-caps really are more interesting to you, have you considered looking for some with lower floats than MPTV? That's one reason technical analysis may not work all that well with MPTV -- because it has a float of 176.9 M. You'll find greater opportunities with stocks that have smaller floats. The float is one of the first things you should look at before you buy a small-cap stock. Look, for example, at LEAP's float: 6.3 M. Today's big mover, SSTI, has a float of 14.8 M.

You can easily find out the float by going to sites such as biz.yahoo.com. Don't wait for the Provocateur to do his so-called DD. Do it yourself. Look at earnings; look at the number of shares outstanding, at the float; and even if you don't want to venture deeply into "technical analysis," give the chart a quick look. Try to determine the trend. If you like, take a look at the price in relation to its moving averages. And look at the volume.

There's no reason why your hopes should rest on a stock such as MPTV in this market. There are many better opportunities out there. You seem like someone determined to succeed, and I have no doubt you will. But seek out the best stocks. Look for powerful opportunities -- not shiny pennies.
