What I see happening with Bell Atlantic is that they are going to offer a contract to Westell which will include NUKO and you will see ADSL based MPEG2 television over copper wire. The technology has improved so much so fast in this area that Bell Atlantic sees this as providing the cheapest FULL SERVICE package. For the cost of the infrastructure upgrade in ADSL and NUKO; the RBOC can offer analog dial-tone uninterrupted while providing internet access at 1.5 Mbps uninterrupted while providing digital cable television. This technology package is so good that Bell Atlantic is dropping everything else in favor of it.
