for long term yahoo holders I think we should all try to figure out what will happen when cable speed becomes the mainstream to all internet connections...

By the time that happens though, Yahoo will have had a lot of time to build its current business.

The way I visualize the future though is that the internet will perhaps replace television as the dominant entertainment medium of the home with full cable speed bandwidth...

Of course Disney, and other major TV networks with tons of content and MSNBC are all going to be having glitzy shows with interactiv content online. What will yahoo have? Maybe Yahoo will partner with some media companies or host some live rock concerts online....but they had better be able to take advantage of the cable bandwidth speed to keep advertisers coming to them...

IMHO, when cable speed becomes mainstream, it will offer renewed excitement to this area

but when the heck will cable be mainstream, for the USA let alone the rest of the world, could be decades...
