The troops in the Russell Brigade are definitely lagging. Other sectors too.

Canada protects her citizens by fixing the market price for prescription drugs. This causes drug prices to rise more rapidly by steps. Prices are fixed for maybe several years, then there is a government allowed adjustment that exceeds what the prices would have risen had the market price not been fixed. The demand has outstripped the ability to supply because physicians both there and here have gone off the deep end prescribing junk and poison to people. People are so gullible and trusting that they accept what the doctor orders and eventually become psychologically dependent on these drugs. They aren't doing anything but they may be doing harm. The doctors, the pharmas, and the people all want this kind of thing. They all think they are benefiting. None of them are. No, not even the pharmas because eventually the truth comes out and the pharmas get wacked. I have a simple prescription to avoid all of this seamier side of medical life, eat right and exercise. I've never met anyone that does that without compromise, so I guess people deserve to go down the drain and make drug pushers rich doing it.

In the US we fix the market but not directly. And again the high demand is what is causing the price rise, but now it's turning into a way to pay for inflated wage demands at every level from doctor to latrine orderly. It just proves that there is no free market. Therefore, there is little competition. So what keeps price in line? Government! So you should be glad you're paying the protection money. We learned a lot from Chicago in the '30's.
