NCD mentioned a shortfall in revenue as one of their OEM customers works to reduce inventory. My take is that IBM is stuck with a bunch of NetworkStation 100's(?) which NCD got them to commit to last year and IBM has to work through these lesser powered boxes. The NetworkStation 1000's seem to be doing okay, though. Also, I believe customers are holding off on purchases until WTS is available. I think it was sent to manufacturing in late June and should take at least a month to be available. But that doesn't guarantee that anyone will be buying. The pricing is prohibitive but some customers are biting the bullet. I found a page at Microsoft saying Texaco was committing to WTS (but don't have it handy.) I was disappointed by the neutrality of NCD's comments. Basically, they show customers are showing growing acceptance. Not necessarily in large numbers and not necessarily for NCD products.
