Many good points have been raised on the phone vs internet discussion. One that struck me by Tobasco was that most of this data is already available on each companies website, such as financials, press releases, contacts fot investor packets, etc.
It is also clear that to reach the broadest audience, telephone is in fact the core product.
This being said, the same opportunities for revenue don't exist for the internet business.
And possibly the reason why this product is so popular, is that TSIS gets paid only for the activity in any particular month. Therefore, the company has a vested interest in transitioning business to its website, minimizing the presence of TSIS and phone revenue.
In reality, the expense by each company is so small they would not actively try to recapture this business. But if the world continues to move to the internet, it would be detrimental to TSIS.
I wonder if all the pricing is all variable, or if a monthly fixed fee is part of the package? IF anyone is clear on this, please post. Otherwise I will phone the Co.
