re. "CPQ has intel based workstations which undercut Dell's in price for the same features." This statement is not correct. We have just completed an exercise in this specific arena. Apples to apples - Dell's servers are less expensive. However, we are less trusting of Dell's offering than CPQ's - and where we need more performance, CPQ has an edge. Dell's servers are good quality, but CPQ also has a good edge in fault tolerance and support. As a result, we are purchasing Dell for workgroup level computing (file and print sharing) and CPQ for host level computing. (Workstations are GTW)
