Speaking of strong news, LGND was mentioned a couple of times in Bear Stearn's Biotech Watch which came out yesterday. Under "Regulatory Watch", LGND priority review for Topical Panretin was discussed. Since the NDA was filed on May 26, 1998, a late November approval is anticipated. BS expects a full launch in 1Q, 1999, rather than the last quarter of this year because of the holiday season. The G-CSF mimic is discussed under the "Clinical Watch" section. It's competition with Neupogen was mentioned and the discussion closed with "Preclinical data presented in the Science article indicate that the new molecule stimulates neutrophil production in a mouse model."
