Great link - mh005.infi.net A very detailed debate about EAX and A3D. All this is waaaaaay too complicated for me to fully understand, but going by what I've read EAX and open standards are more than likely to prevail. I now think A3D will suffer a slow but sure decline in support because of its closed nature. The more I read, the more impressed I am with Creative and the care they have taken to position their premiere range of audio products. The depth of Sim's understanding of the market and how it evolves is becoming apparent. Creaf used to own the proprietary SoundBlaster standard but is now actually supporting an open standard ... this must be what is known as a paradigm shift! That's it, I actually think my faith has been restored!!
